World War I miscellany 1914-1959.

The collection contains letters and related materials of Private William S. Gaines, 67th Brigade, 42nd Division, 149th U.S. Field Artillery, A.E.F. discussing training at Camp Mills, Long Island, duties in France, accident and hospitalization, leave time and occupation of Germany. The collection also contains correspondence and notes of Matthew J. Bruccoli, 1959, concerning John Monk Saunders, author of various World War I screenplays. Miscellaneous material includes three embroidered World War I era postcard souvenirs and copies of two group photographs in which Joseph M. Bruccoli appears.
